Continued Growth of Indian GSM Subscriber Base in June 05

According to data released by COAI (Cellular Operators Association of India), the GSM subscriber base in India grew by 1.57 million to 44.9 million users in June. The Delhi area had 4.34 million GSM subscribers at the end of June, accounting for 9.66% of the GSM market. Mumbai had 4.17 subscribers for a 9.28% share. Bharti has the largest share of the GSM subscriber base with 27.23%. BSNL has a 22.77% share, followed by Hutch with an 18.79% share.
